Erie Electric Internal QBO Integration

Effective Date: 11/23/2025

1. Overview

The Erie Electric Internal QBO Integration (“Application”, “App”) is a private, internal-use software tool created and maintained by Erie Electric, Inc. It is designed to automate data exchange between QuickBooks Online and Erie Electric’s internal systems such as Google Apps Script, Google Sheets, and AppSheet.

This Application is not distributed publicly and is intended solely for use by authorized employees of Erie Electric, Inc.

By using this Application, you (“User”) agree to the terms outlined below.

2. Authorized Users

Use of this Application is strictly limited to:

  • Erie Electric, Inc. employees

  • Contractors explicitly authorized by Erie Electric, Inc.

  • Administrators responsible for managing internal business systems

Unauthorized access or use is prohibited.

3. Purpose of the Application

The Application facilitates internal operational workflows, including but not limited to:

  • Syncing accounting, project, payroll, and time data

  • Automating invoice, billing, project tracking, and reporting tasks

  • Storing internal operational data inside Erie Electric’s Google Workspace environment

This Application is not intended for public use or commercial distribution.

4. Data Access & Usage

The Application may access data from QuickBooks Online solely for legitimate business purposes, including:

  • Financial reporting

  • Payroll processing

  • Time and labor management

  • Job costing and project management

  • Internal accounting processes

All data obtained from QuickBooks Online is used only within Erie Electric’s internal systems.

The Application does not share, sell, or distribute QuickBooks data to third parties.

5. Data Storage

The Application stores data only within:

  • Erie Electric’s secure Google Workspace domain

  • Google Sheets, Google Drive, and Apps Script logs

  • Internal systems used for operational workflows

Erie Electric maintains administrative control over all data storage locations.

6. Security

Erie Electric uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect data accessed or stored by the Application, including:

  • Restricted Google Workspace access

  • Encrypted API communication (TLS 1.2+)

  • Limited user permissions

  • Internal-only script execution

Despite these measures, no system is completely secure. Users must follow all internal IT policies and security guidelines.

7. User Responsibilities

Users must:

  • Use the Application only for authorized business purposes

  • Maintain confidentiality of all accessed data

  • Avoid modifying or distributing the Application

  • Report any suspected security issues immediately to IT Administration

Misuse of the Application may result in disciplinary action.

8. Application Availability

The Application is provided “as is” and may be:

  • Modified

  • Updated

  • Suspended

  • Discontinued

at any time by Erie Electric, Inc.

Erie Electric is not liable for downtime, data delays, errors, or interruptions in functionality.

9. No Warranty

Erie Electric makes no warranties, either express or implied, regarding:

  • Accuracy of data

  • Fitness for a particular purpose

  • Error-free operation

  • Compatibility with other applications

The Application is used at the user's own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

Erie Electric is not liable for:

  • Loss of data

  • Financial losses

  • System interruptions

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

arising from use or inability to use the Application.

11. Changes to These Terms

Erie Electric may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Application after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
